The iconic Casablanca Building on the corner of Petrie Terrace and Caxton Street was transformed recently into Fritzenberger which includes the first Australian SMARTBREW installation. The venue experienced a huge trade with the Broncos preliminary final at Suncorp Stadium on the opening night, then the Wallabies Vs South Africa on the following night.
Andrew Jeffreys, General Manager, Fritzenberger said “our team’s very excited to be leading the way with this craft beer technology. We travelled to New Zealand to see and taste the SMARTBREW system earlier in the year and discovered first hand how great the system is. The beers are sensational and it’s the perfect solution to brewing beer on-site in a relatively small footprint.
“The 4 x 1000 Litre SMARTBREW system will help us play our part to bringing Caxton street back to its former glory days, now with a craft beer focus and delicious burgers.” Jeffreys said.
The SMARTBREWsystem transforms traditional manual brewing techniques by way of a fully automated system with online monitoring capabilities, and can be setup in as little as 10sqm metres. Customers who buy the equipment are also supplied the raw materials and beer recipes / instructions to brew on-site, enabling them to produce a unique range of beer styles and flavours that offer patrons a true micro-brew experience.
Dickson’s Mill Distribution, General Manager, Andrew Danby said “we are excited to be partnering with Andrew and the team at Fritzenberger to launch this revolutionary new technology which allows small venues to brew award winning craft beers in their own venues.”
SMARTBREW will launch 3 additional sites in the next month including Sir Chapel – Glebe Tramsheds, Basement Brewhouse – Bankstown Sporting Club and SIX TANKS – Mitchell Street Darwin.
