Somersby has announced the launch of its new cloudy apple flavour, which is the first innovation for the brand, since it launched its blackberry flavour in November 2015.

The brand says that the new flavour, which is being launched in can and bottle format, is less sweet than its original apple flavour and that it is hopeful this style will help attract new drinkers to the cider category.

Michael Edmonds, General Manager, Marketing ANZ: “We’re very excited about the launch of new Somersby Cloudy Apple Cider. Cloudy really compliments the range of Australia’s popular cider brand.

“Like original Somersby apple cider, it is bursting with rich juicy apple flavour, but cloudy is extra refreshing with a less sweet crisp and fresh finish that will really hit the spot!  Perfect for any occasion throughout summer.”

Somersby has said that the launch will be supported with a strong media campaign including outdoor, digital screens and a wide range of social media platforms.

The cloudy apple flavour will join the existing offering of pear, apple and blackberry.
