Somersby Cider officially released its new flavour, Somersby Blackberry, last night at a launch event in Brisbane.

The new flavoured cider joins the current Somersby portfolio of Apple and Pear, and has been created in response to consumer demand for flavoured ciders.

Somersby is expecting 2015 to be its biggest summer ever, with the introduction of Somersby Blackberry offering further increased growth opportunities and expanded reach.

Grayson Cook, craft beer and cider brand manager at Asahi Premium Beverages, says: “Somersby Cider has been growing at rapid rates since its launch in 2012, and with this success we’re thrilled to take the brand to the next level with the addition of Somersby Blackberry.

“We know there is a particular market looking for flavoured ciders outside of the traditional Apple and Pear variants, so we’ve listened to our consumers and are confident they won’t be disappointed with our response.”

Somersby Cider is stocked in 43 countries globally and is available from bottle shops and on-premise venues across Australia.
