SouthTrade International (STI) has been appointed the exclusive Australia and New Zealand importer for EWG Spirits & Wine, the company behind new generation brands G-Vine Gin, Excellia Tequila, and Espirit de June.
"G-Vine is the first-ever gin made from grape neutral spirit and starring vine flower amongst other botanicals," STI’s director and principal, Tony Stubley, said.
"Excellia is pushing the boundaries of premium Tequila, and there is nothing else like Espirit de June. They are premium and breaking new ground – perfect fits in our stable."
EWG Spirits & Wine has experienced a great deal of success in the European market over the past few years, driven by its focus on innovation and quality as well as its Gin Connoisseurs Program (GCP).
The company believes STI’s respect for bartenders and its focus on education and training will allow the success its brands have enjoyed in Europe to be duplicated in Australia.
The GCP is an internationally acclaimed bartender program and competition judged by respected industry professionals such as Philip Duff and Gaz Regan, and this year included two Australian bartenders – Victoria Room’s Jessica Arnott and Stitch Bar’s Mischa Bonova – in the finals.
