Spirits Platform has opened a new office in Perth to service its customers and to have its own sales and customers service team to help grow the business in the state.

Focus Brands has, for several years looked after the Spirits Platform portfolio in WA, but after growth in the state, the move in-house has taken place.

Casey Gray (pictured far right in image above) is heading up the WA team. For the past three years, Casey was a successful Spirits Platform BDM before deciding to take on the role as WA State Manager. Casey comes from a family who owned pubs in North Qld, and he worked and ran his own pub in Toowoomba back in 2012, so he really understands the alcohol industry and especially on-premise.

Casey is supported by Darren Bennett, who was previously with Focus Brands and has come across to join the Spirits Platform team. Darren is well-known in WA as he’s been working in the liquor industry for nearly 30 years, with a strong emphasis on off-premise. Darren brings many years of retail liquor experience and this is now complimented by Casey’s years of on-premise experience.

Debbie Phillips also came across from Focus Brands and has taken over the role of customer service looking after regional Australia.

The company said of the move: “Having a Spirits Platform office vs an agency to represent WA customers has many benefits from regular access to Brand Ambassadors, more masterclasses, more training and education from both the Spirits Platform Brand ambassador team but also WA will now be on the ‘map’ when it comes to international brand ambassadors, Master Distillers and other important brand officials.

“More promotional and marketing support for the state is another added benefit to WA customers as Spirits Platform will invest more in the state. There’s also a lot of new products and customers will have access to exclusive product lines, especially in the whisky category, so it’s an exciting time for both Spirits Platform and its customers.

“If you’re in WA and are wanting to stock any products from our premium portfolio of liqueurs, whiskies, gins, Cognac, rum, brandy or tequila or looking for customer support, please contact Casey Gray or Darren Bennett.”
