There is a lot to look forward to this summer, putting the last 18 months behind us, catching up with friends and family and enjoying some delicious drinks.

While a lot of trends have developed and changed, well everything has let’s face it, there are still some constants that we will be able to rely on as the warmer months arrive and socialising begins.

Pink drinks and especially Rosé is always a favourite. It is the summer drink. It’s the drink of socialising, of friends and that is exactly what everyone needs this summer. It’s fair to say that we can expect Rosé to go big this summer.

But it’s not just in terms of sales and enjoyment that it will go big.

Australia’s number one Rosé in value and volume is Squealing Pig, and it’s not surprising after the Squealing Pig winemaking team decided they simply wanted to create their ideal Rosé. It starts with the colour, the perfect light salmon hue, ‘piggy pink’ which then delivers a delicate wine that is refreshing and approachable, a wine made with Pinot Noir grapes giving it fragrant aromas helping to give the wine its X-Factor.

Squealing Pig has enjoyed double digit growth year on year since launching in 2010 and it is growing 13 per cent in value compared to a year ago, so its popularity with consumers shows no sign of abating and this summer expect that to continue as the wine goes big.

Australia’s favourite Rosé is now available to order in striking 1.5-litre magnum bottles, with screen-printed bottles to add some extra wow.

This summer we are able to gather in groups of four or more people, we’re able to enjoy parties, we’re able to go to venues again and what better way to make a statement than with a stunning and delicious Rosé in a magnum bottle?

For venues the magnum is also perfect as it will help to increase dwell time and because it is a delightfully food-friendly wine if people are staying longer they will eat and therefore spend more.

Since launching Squealing Pig Pinot Noir Rosé has been winning awards, the very first vintage in 2015 won trophies at the 2016 International Wine Challenge and 2016 Sydney International Wine Competition – it proved so popular winemakers couldn’t make enough of it.

Today it is the number one Rosé in Australia across all price points, and the awards continue with the current 750ml 2021 vintage winning Gold at both the 2021 Royal Queensland Show and the 2021 Best Wine of the World Competition.

The launch of this number one and award-winning Rosé into magnum bottles is perfect timing as people look to put the last 18 months behind them and move forward to enjoy summer with friends and in larger groups.
