Stage one of Ivy, a highly anticipated four-story entertainment venue, officially opened its doors today revealing an urban oasis in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
The stage one opening consists of eight bars, three restaurants and six retail outlets. Ivy has created 350 jobs and is designed to have minimal impact on the environment.
Stage two of Ivy is scheduled to open in the middle of the year. On completion it will feature a total of18 bars, nine restaurants, a ballroom with capacity for 1000 people, penthouse suites, European-style laneways and a rooftop pool.
Ivy is the pet project of Merivale Group CEO Justin Hemmes.
“I have designed Ivy to be a surreal escape from the day to day world but with a very familiar and comfortable ambience that welcomes people and makes them feel like they are at home,” Hemmes said.
