Starward Whisky is looking to maximise the ‘premium at-home’ experience with the launch of a new range of bottled cocktails, which the brand says are just like having a mixologist at your beck and call.

The range comprises (New) Old Fashioned, Coffee Old Fashioned and Whisky Negroni, with each cocktail containing Starward’s award-winning whisky and carefully chosen local ingredients.

Starward Founder, David Vitale said each cocktail was created in close collaboration between their distillers and bartenders who fine-tuned each recipe.

“Coming from the foodie capital of the world, we’ve always intended our rich and fruity whisky to shine in a cocktail at leading bars and restaurants,” he said.

“With our batched cocktails, I wanted to create something convenient, consistent and well-crafted that we can all bring to parties and the dinner table.

“It makes sense that the best craft whisky in the world should make the best cocktails in the world, and I am so excited to share the talents of our whole Port Melbourne team – from bartenders to distillers – with these ready to serve whisky cocktails.”

The (New) Old Fashioned pairs Starward’s award-winning whisky with distillery-made wattle seed syrup and zingy orange bitters delivers a balanced mellow spicy-sweetness. The cocktail was named the ‘World’s Best Premix’ and ‘World’s Best Contemporary Cocktail’ at the 2020 World Premix Awards in London.

The Coffee Old Fashioned is a take on the classic cocktail, but featuring Mr Black’s cold brew coffee liqueur, while the Whisky Negroni is another twist on a classic cocktail with Starward aged in red wine barrels, matched with sweet vermouth and bitter orange liqueur, locally crafted in Victoria.

Each bottle contains 10 serves and are available nationally in all Dan Murphy’s stores, select BWS and independent retails this month and with a $49RRP.
