Stone & Wood has launched a new venture, Fixation Brewing Co., which is 'fixated' on one thing, making the best IPAs possible.

The founders of Stone & Wood believe there is room in the Australian beer landscape for a beer business purely focused on American style IPA and have brought on Tom Delmont (ex-Mountain Goat) to front the business.

In Australia IPAs are yet to reach the heady heights experienced in the USA, where according to the Brewers Association, IPAs remained the top style sold by independent craft brewers in 2015 and continue to grow faster than the overall craft category.

No doubt Stone & Wood will be hoping Australia follows USA beer trends.

Fixation IPA is crafted with Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo hops and has 65 IBUs and a 6.4 per cent ABV.

Stone & Wood’s distribution arm Square Keg will be looking after Fixation Brewing Co. beers. The first batch of Fixation IPA is due for release in keg in limited quantities from 14 December, with the brewery hoping to roll it out in bottles in March 2016.
