TAB Sports betting on Australian and NZ mobile start harness races now closes at actual race start, following a NSW Government decision in December.

The NSW Office of Liquor and Gambling Regulation granted approval for the rule change, with betting on mobile start harness races previously closing 10 seconds before start.

The ‘stop-sell’ of races is strictly controlled by Tabcorp’s Raceday centre, which monitors betting on all racing wagered on by TABs in Australia. The rule change does not impact standing start harness races, where stop-sell will continue to be auctioned when the starting strands are pulled back.
