Suntory Australia’s tequila brand, Sierra, is making its first foray into the ready-to-serve arena following the launch of Sierra Margarita.

Mixed according to the original cocktail recipe using Sierra Silver tequila, agave syrup and limes for a balance of sweet and sour flavours, Sierra Margarita can be poured over ice for an instant margarita.

"We wanted the perfect ready-to-serve cocktail, which tastes like a fresh margarita remixed and with the full flavour of the traditional Mexican drink,” said Dr. Tina Ingwersen-Matthiesen, director of Borco Brands Import, the Hamburg-based company that owns Sierra. “Finally a great drink for the home that tastes great."

Sierra Margarita has also attracted attention on the awards circuit, picking up a gold medal at the 2012 Drinks International Pre-mixed Drinks Challenge.

Sierra Margarita has an ABV of 10 percent and is available as a 700ml x six unit case with an RRP of $24.99.
