The Middleweight World Title fight to be held this Sunday morning in Las Vegas between Gennady Golovkin and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is expected to be one of the closest bouts in recent history according to boxing experts.

“Canelo v Golovkin represents one of the best bouts in terms of quality as they represent the best technical boxers of their time and is the biggest fight since Mayweather v Pacquiao,” said Foxtel Business Sports Marketing Manager, Leigh Jackson.

“The 35-year old Golovkin is undefeated after 37 fights with 33 of these via knockout while the 27-year-old Alvarez has only had the one loss to Floyd Mayweather in 51 bouts, and this was a very close fight that Mayweather just won.

“The boxing community is expecting this fight to go the distance and be one of the closest fights between two incredible athletes in a very long time. For venues looking to get bang for buck from their Pay Per View investment – this is the fight to book,” Jackson said.

“We are encouraging venues to make it a ‘Knockout Sunday’ in their venues with the Live World Title fight from 10.00am coupled with Live UFC on Fox Sports More from 12.00pm at no extra charge when middleweights Luke Rockhold and David Branch battle it out in the Octagon.”
