Hospitality, brand and events agency Sweet&Chilli is expanding into the US, with the opening of an office in Los Angeles.
The agency, which offers services to the food and beverage and hotel industries already has offices in Sydney and London, and said the move to LA was a natural progression for the team.
Cameron Northway, Managing Director of Sweet&Chilli Australia and founding partner of Sweet&Chilli US said: "We’re excited to formalise our offering in LA, it goes without saying that the opportunity for growth in the States is huge.
“We’ve had a small team on the ground for the past year who’ve been doing great work; we’ve recently signed on with Red Bull and now with John on-board, we’re really looking forward to creating amazing brand experiences in the States.”
The LA opening has also coincided with Sweet&Chilli appointing its US lead, global industry expert, John Gakuru.
Gakuru, who has been working in the Sydney office for the last few months, has a proven record in developing new and existing businesses within the drinks industry around the world.
Speaking of his appointment as Director, Sales and Marketing, John Gakuru says:
“I will be leading a young, dynamic and growing team, aligning Sweet&Chilli USA’s operations with Sweet&Chilli UK and Australia, whilst establishing and building the brand throughout North America for the long term.”
The US team has already been busy working on a growing number of events including bar operations and producing brand experiences at Coachella, LolaPalooza, and Miami Music Week.
