Hospitality operator Emirates Catering Group will open a Coopers Alehouse at Sydney Airport next week under a partnership with the South Australia-based brewer.

Chairman Glenn Cooper told TheShout Coopers was approached by Emirates Catering Group – which runs the Hudsons Coffee chain – to open the new venue.

He said Emirates was impressed with the existing Coopers Alehouse at Adelaide Airport, which is operated by Delaware North.

"I think it's fabulous – this was a great opportunity," Cooper said.

"It's going to look really schmick. The days are gone when you have a grungy little bar in an airport – we've helped change that philosophy."

The Coopers Alehouse will exclusively offer Coopers beers and will be officially opened at Sydney Airport T2 next Tuesday.
