A 22 year-old New Zealand national has taken over the license of The Barking Frog, a 100-seat bar and restaurant on the Manly beachfront in Sydney.

Rob Fazey, who has worked in the industry since the age of 15, said his mother Jan purchased The Barking Frog because of proposed changes to liquor laws in NSW that will allow restaurants to serve alcohol without food.

“He always wanted a bar and this is a good starting point. Something he can get his teeth into,” Jan said. “And this place has a good feel to it. “

The Barking Frog is a two-storey property currently operating under a wine and dine license. The venue hosts live music four nights a week and has function facilities catering for groups of up to 60 people.
