Customs House Bar will host a public fashion parade at Sydney’s Macquarie Place tomorrow evening.

With events for the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week typically invite-only, this non-exclusive event gives the general public an opportunity to get involved in the weeklong event.

Director of Marketing for the Sydney Harbour Marriott, Grant Gray said, “The whole event has purely been set up so that the public can get involved,” said Sydney Harbour Marriott director of marketing, Grant Gray.

“The objective is to give the general public an insight into what is typically a closed event. We really want to open it up to as many people as possible,” he said.

Supported by the Marriot Hotel for the fourth year running, the parade will showcase the work of four young designers from TAFE NSW’s Fashion Design Studio — Christopher Esber, Guy Hastie, Spencer Webber and Dion Lee.

“By giving them a base during the exciting and stressful Fashion Week we hope to offer them support and access to a professional environment for them to invite buyers and media to view their range”, Gray said.

The parade will be held from 6pm.
