Sydney speakeasy-style bar Eau de Vie is returning brand ambassadors to their roots with the launch of monthly ‘Ambassador Sessions’ tonight (May 17).

One Monday a month, a representative from a selected liquor company will get behind the bar at Eau de Vie to make a selection of cocktails from their own portfolio of brands.

Given that most brand ambassadors began in the industry as bartenders, it is a chance for them to revisit their old skills, as well as showcase their brands and signature drinks.

Kicking things off tonight is Reserve Brands Ambassador Nick van Tiel, who has created four cocktails especially for tonight, including one using Johnnie Walker Green Label whisky.

“We just wanted to create a fun and engaging night that we could host at Eau-de-Vie once a month,” said Eau de Vie owner Sven Almenning. “Inviting different brand ambassadors in to rock it out behind the bar seemed like a cool idea. Hopefully it’ll be a chance for bartenders to get together and network, but most importantly have some fun, and watch some of the old dogs in action.”

The bar will also launch an ‘Ambassador Page’ as part of their cocktail menu, where they will keep a signature drink from each ambassador as part of their permanent cocktail offering,

Upcoming nights will feature brand ambassadors Shae Silvestro (Brown-Forman), Matt Barnett (Suntory), Jared Plummer (Beam Global) and Manuel Terron (Southtrade).
