The 16th annual Pub2Pub fun run is on again, which aims to raise $100,000 for local charities, including local surf clubs, hospitals, the NSW Rural Fire Service and other organisations.

The 13km race will kick off at 8:00am on Sunday, August 24. It starts with a 500m sand dash from the Dee Why Surf Club in Sydney’s northern suburbs and winds its way via the back streets along the beaches, providing spectacular scenery along the way. The race finishes at the Newport Arms Hotel, where participants will be joined by family and friends for a cleansing ale and a bite to eat

“The race is going from strength to strength with 2007 delivering a record number of entrants,” said race organizer, Michael Olofinsky. “ We are expecting to improve on that again in 2008.”
