Sydney Royal Wine Show will be held in August.

The Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) have announced the return of the Sydney Royal Wine Show Trophy Winners’ lunch for 2021.

The lunch will be held at the Doltone House Hyde Park on Friday, 6 August after the event was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following tradition, the lunch will offer attendees the chance to hear from the judges as well as sample the trophy and award-winning wines.

WCA said: “A highlight of the day is the announcement of the winner of the NSW Legend of the Vine. This prestigious award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Australian wine industry.

“Along with enjoying noteworthy, award and trophy winning wines, guests will have the opportunity to win fantastic raffle prizes and celebrate in style with over 250 guests from all walks of the wine industry.”

WCA also announced Iain Riggs AM, a wine industry veteran, former Sydney Royal Wine Show Chairman/Chief Judge and 2017 WCA Legend of the Vine recipient will be the Master of Ceremonies.

Lunch ticket holders will also be provided access to the Exhibitor and Trade Tasting at the 2021 KPMG Sydney Royal Wine Show at Sydney Showground, Olympic Park, which will be held in the morning of 6 August, prior to the luncheon.
