The Sydney Rum Club, along with bars&clubs magazine, will finally lay-down their new rum at a monthly meeting tonight (Sep 14).

The rum, whose new-make spirit hails from The Lark Distillery, was delivered to Eden Bar & Restaurant – the home of the Sydney Rum Club – last week and will be formally barrelled tonight.

Those interested in tasting the rum can buy a share in the 20 litre barrel for $50, which includes regular monthly samplings of the rum’s development and a personal 700ml bottle with a personal label, at an official bottling in one year’s time.

Tonight will also see the winner of the competition to name the rum announced, along with an informative tasting session, hosted by Bacardi brand ambassadors Jeremy Shipley and Loy Catada.

Along with learning about the history of Bacardi, guests will also be treated to a formal tasting of the Bacardi range, including the ultra-premium Bacardi Reserva Limitada.
