An interactive morning workshop on succession planning in business — ideal for owners and operators considering their options — will be held in Sydney next month.

The workshop will reinforce the importance of planning around a pending retirement or a side-step within a business, while providing the tools to prepare for such a move.

The workshop will also challenge operators to consider business valuation in a different light and to think outside the square in terms of developing the right exit or succession plan.

The partners of Shirlaws, Cropper Parkhill Solicitors and RSM Bird Cameron are hosting the workshop, which will take a holistic approach to offer practical, valuable advice on the organisational, legal and financial issues involved.

Facilitators Andrew MacKenzie, John Simpson and Jamie O’Rourke will cover issues including valuing the business, developing and enhancing this value and looking beyond the obvious when considering succession and exit options, among other aspects.

The breakfast workshop will be Sydney’s Swissotel on Tuesday, May 6. Tickets are $55. For more details, contact 02 9232 5000
