The inaugural Maker’s Mark Old Fashioned Week is off and running in Sydney, kicking off on the 11th with a star studded bash at the award-winning Earl’s Juke Joint.

With events staged over a week from 12-20 May, leading venues all over the harbour city are participating with Old Fashioned themed events.

The week is a celebration of Maker’s Mark bourbon, Old Fashioned cocktails and laid-back fun.  Each participating venue will feature its own unique, modern take on the Old Fashioned cocktail – no two recipes will be the same.

Just one of the events is the intimate True Maker’s workshop and conversation with career handcrafters – artist Anthony Lister and surfboard shaper Simon Anderson – at The Wild Rover in Surry Hills on 18 May.

Other bars participating in the week-long celebration include: The Commons, Earl’s Juke Joint, Papa Gede’s, Ramblin’ Rascal Tavern, Riley St Garage, The Roosevelt, Shirt Bar, Soda Factory, Stitch Bar, The Village Inn, and The Whisky Room at The Clock Hotel.

To mark the event, Maker’s Mark has also created the perfect Old Fashioned glass for the perfect Old Fashioned cocktail, which will feature at selected bars throughout Maker’s Mark Old Fashioned Week.

Limited tickets for True Maker’s are on sale via Ticketbooth and include an Old Fashioned on arrival.
