Tabcorp has announced a strategic agreement with gaming machine manufacturer Ainsworth Game Technology (AGT).

The relationship will enable Tabcorp subsidiary, Tabcorp Gaming Solutions (TGS), to act as exclusive sales and distribution agent for Ainsworth products to licensed gaming venues across Victoria, ahead of the state’s transition in August 2012.

As part of the arrangement TGS will provide installation, servicing, maintenance and warranty support for all AGT products distributed by TGS.

“We’re very excited at the possibilities this relationship will bring for Victorian venues. This agreement demonstrates our commitment and investment in the Victorian gaming market long-term. We hope this partnership with Ainsworth will allow Victorian pubs and clubs to continue to lead the way with state-of-the-art electronic gaming machines,” said TGS general manager Steve Wooding.

AGT currently services Queensland, New South Wales and South Australian markets and has 1150 electronic gaming machines in more than 200 hotels and clubs throughout Victoria.

Ainsworth Game Technology CEO Danny Gladstone said the alliance underpinned its expansion into the Victorian market, opening up significant growth opportunities.

“Ainsworth is pleased to be working with TGS to provide the Victorian market with a combined 75 years of knowledge and experience. We believe this will be a real ‘working together’ relationship that will ultimately benefit Victorian gaming venues through the provision of next generation gaming products with high player appeal,” he said.
