To celebrate the end of what has been a challenging 2009 vintage, Tahbilk Winery will host a day of festivities on May 3.

Wineries, restaurants and producers from the Nagambie Lakes and Strathbogie regions will come together for a day of exquisite wines, food, kids’ activities and entertainment.

The day will kick off at 11:00am with an entry fee of $10 per person, which includes a souvenir tasting glass and all wine tastings. Children under 18 are welcomed free of charge.

Participating wineries include Tahbilk, Dalfarras, Mitchelton, Goulburn Terrace, Tar and Roses, Plunkett-Fowles, Brave Goose Vineyard, Longleat and Baddaginnie Run.

There will also be a challenge to choose the ‘Best Regional Shiraz’ put forward by each winery and win a mixed selection of the participating wines.

A range of local produce will also be available to sample and purchase, including olive oil, honey, almonds and Purbrick and Crawford jams and preserves.
