Tamborine Mountain Distillery (TMD) has scored more brownie points on the international awards circuit after receiving four commendations from the International Taste and Quality Institute in Brussels.

The institute awarded TMD three gold stars for its Macadamia Nut Liqueur, two gold stars for its Limoncello Liqueur, and a gold star each for its Lavender Liqueur and Lemon Myrtle Vodka.

“We are the smallest distillery in this huge global competition and to achieve these results is absolutely mind blowing,” said TMD co-founder, Michael Ward. “This is very exciting news for us.”

Located in Queensland’s Gold Coast hinterland, TMD manufactures 60 kinds of vodka, liqueur, absinthe and herbals, all of which are handmade without artificial additives and from chemical-free fruit.

TMD has chalked up 68 awards over the last 10 years, making it the highest grossing award-winner in Australian distilling history.
