The third annual Thirsty Camel Tasmanian Beerfest will be held this Saturday (November 8) on the waterfront of Hobart’s Regatta Grounds.

Around 7000 visitors are expected to sample more than 100 boutique and premium beers from around Australia and the world, with a large range of international brews available in the Thirsty Camel International Beer Bar.

Beer gurus including Lion Nathan and James Squire chief brewer, Chuck Hahn, will be in the Thirsty Camel ExBEERience VIP Lounge to share some secrets to brewing world class beers.

Visitors can relax on the grass with Mt Wellington in the background and enjoy the entertainment, while honing their beer and food matching skills.

The beerfest will see guests pay $10 for seven tastings and a commemorative festival tasting glass or $20 for a festival bag, which contains tastings, a glass, discount vouchers and more.

The festival that started as a Drysdale Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Project will be open from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
