Arguably Australia’s most well-known tequila aficionado, Phil Bayley, will host an exclusive master class for Melbourne’s bartending elite on Tuesday night (June 9).

Bayley, owner of iconic tequila restaurant and bar Café Pacifico in Sydney, will fly down to host a two-hour session on Partida tequila at The Emerald Peacock bar.

He will discuss the history and heritage of the tequila, before leading the group in a sampling of the Partida range, including blanco, reposado (aged 6 months) and añejo (aged 18 months).
Afterwards, there will be an exclusive after-party featuring Partida cocktails and Mexican canapés

This will be Bayley’s second tequila-themed trip to Melbourne in as many weeks, after he was specially flown in to attend the official launch party of new tequila venue Maya Tequila Bar and Grill in South Yarra.

The party was attended by over 150 guests, who were treated to Breakfast Margaritas, made from tequila, Cointreau, marmalade, orange and ginger syrup and freshly squeezed lime and lemon juice and  canapés such as slow cooked pork belly with pimento and sweet habanero sauce.
