Craft brewery Moon Dog has joined forces with Tequila Tromba for an unexpected collaboration, Great Minds Pink Alike. Honouring the classic Paloma cocktail with an unusual twist, Great Minds Pink Alike is a limited release Paloma Sour brew.

Great Minds Pink Alike, which is available now in select venues in Victoria and New South Wales, was created in celebration of International Paloma Month. At six per cent ABV, the Paloma Sour features the flavours of a classic Paloma, described as a tangy sour beer with a kick of grapefruit, hints of white pepper and subtle anise from the tequila.

In support of Tequila Tromba’s Agave Rewilding Program, the collaborative release raises funds through the sale of each keg, with proceeds donated directly to the initiative which sees the preservation and regeneration of the endangered agave plants in Jalisco, Mexico.

Developed by members of the Tequila Tromba distillery, the program helps to rebuild disturbed ecosystems that have been damaged from the overcultivation of the blue agave for the production of tequila.

James Sherry, Co-Founder of Tequila Tromba, commented on the collaboration.

“There is nothing better than collaborating with the great minds of Moon Dog, especially when it supports a worthy cause. It is truly a drink that everyone needs to try, regardless of being a beer fan, a tequila fan or neither – the finely balanced profile of a Paloma in a sessionable sour, what’s not to love?”
