The Melbourne International Spirits Competition (MISC) has announced the winners of its 2015 competition.

This year saw just three Double Gold and one Gold medal awarded; these were given to spirits which "demonstrated the most exceptional taste in their price category".

The Doubel Golds went to the St Agnes XO Grand Reserve 40-year-old and St Agnes XO Imperial 20-year-old as well as the Beenleigh White Rum. The St Agnes XO Brandy collected the only Gold medal of the competition.

"The winning spirits at MISC were double blind tasted by some of Australia’s most influential mixologists and industry buyers and came out on top as the best of the best," said Adam Levy, MISC president.

"Forced to ignore all the brands packaging and marketing, the MISC judges deemed the winning spirits truly represented the best value offerings."

MISC also announced a partnership with the Australian Trade Tasting which takes place in Melbourne from 31 August to 2 September and in Sydney on 7 September. Tickets are available from the Australian Trade Tasting website.
