The Gospel is inviting bars to participate in Rye July, a celebration of all things Australian rye whiskey, by serving up the classic Manhattan cocktail.
The Gospel is awarding the top Manhattan selling and promoting venue of each state an ultra-limited, co-branded The Gospel barrel and 5L of The Gospel whiskey worth over $2,600.
To enter the competition, venues are required to list a Manhattan cocktail on the menu using The Gospel Straight Rye Whiskey for the month of July, and promote the event on-site and on social media. There is also a customer competition, which The Gospel asks participating bars to share with their customers.
“We currently have over 40 venues already confirmed to take part in this year’s Rye July festivities, with the list set to grow. We are honoured to continue to build The Gospel story with the help and support of iconic venues across the country. Rye July is an opportunity to further engage with our current and onboarding venues, and allows us to encourage people to go to venues throughout July and discover the versatility and deliciousness of the Manhattan cocktail,” The Gospel co-founder Andrew Fitzgerald said.
Patrons can enter the competition draw by enjoying a Manhattan and uploading the receipt to the competition website. A guest from each state will win a “Manhattan experience in Melbourne” for two, including flights and accomodation, welcome drinks with The Gospel team, a “Broadway” show, and night at a comedy cellar.
“Rye July has grown into a key period for us to spread the good word about deliciously unpretentious Australian rye whiskey. The Manhattan Experience is a chance to dive even deeper, showcasing our signature serve in collaboration with bars across the country,” Fitzgerald added.
Additionally, as part of the Rye July festivities, The Gospel is set to release its new Legacy Rye, a three-year-old whiskey in a Maryland style.
