Anzac Day will see eight New Zealand craft beers showcased for the first time in Australia at the Local Taphouse’s Melbourne and Sydney venues.

The Local Taphouse will hold its Autumn SpecTAPular this Saturday (Apr 25) with 10 to 12 Australian beers joining their trans-Tasman counterparts on tap.

The New Zealand beers on offer include Pitch Black Stout (Invercargill), Organic Pilsner (Emersons), Golden Ale (Three Boys), Dakota Dark Schwarzbier (Wigram), IPA (Tuatara), Wobbly Boot Porter (Harringtons), Golden Tusk ESB (Pink Elephant) and Stonecutter Scotch Ale (Renaissance).

Some Australian beers will also be on tap in both cities for the first time, including Stone and Wood’s Draught Ale and Wig and Pen’s Venom Double IPA.

There will only be one keg of each beer on the day, with the festivities to kick off at midday.

The Local Taphouse is in St Kilda in Melbourne and the recently opened Sydney venue is in Darlinghurst.
