The mystery location where Drambuie will be unveiling the winning pop-up bar design from this year’s The Premise competition has finally been revealed.

The Island, a floating bar situated on Sydney Harbour, will be transformed according to the design concept of the winner of The Premise competition, which will be unveiled on October 6 and operate till October 22.

The Premise contest asked people to submit an inspiring and commercially viable idea for a bar, with the winning entry to be announced on Friday (Sep 23).

The Island bar will then undergo a $50,000 renovation to match the winning design concept, and will operate as a pop-up bar with capacity for up to 120 people and be placed on a pontoon docked in front of Mrs Macquarie Chair.

Competitors submitted a video pitch of their ideas, with the public encouraged to view them all and vote on their favourites.

The five most popular, and five more ‘wildcards’ chosen by the judges, will all be invited to pitch their ideas directly on Sept 22.
