The Singleton of Dufftown has launched a new expression, adding the "Spey Cascade" to its range.

The no-age statement Spey Cascade has been created by Diageo master blender Matthew Crow, using a mix of European sherry and American bourbon casks.

Crow said: "Spey Cascade is a finely crafted single malt with a delicious flavour profile designed to recruit new consumers to the single malts category. I am immensely proud."

Spey Cascade is the third instalment of a range of whiskies that have been designed to be easy for consumers to enjoy. This expression is said to work well with food, sweet food in particular, and has notes of "stewed fruit, brown sugar and toasted nuts".

The Singleton Spey Cascade is available now nationwide with a $65 RRP.
