A man entered the Racecourse Hotel in Malvern East last Friday and threatened a female attendant with a knife. He then forced himself into the manager’s office and fled on foot with a sum of cash. Melbourne Police have released CCTV footage of the offence and are appealing to the public for more information.

Two men have been charged over the theft of alcohol from a pub on Macleay Island in Moreton Bay last Friday. Brisbane Police allege the men broke into the Pub Paradise Hotel at about 2:00am. They have been charged them with entering the premises with intent, stealing and wilful damage.

Two more youths have been charged in relation to a disturbance outside the Hibiscus Tavern on the evening of March 29. Five men who exited the tavern to investigate the vandalism of cars in a nearby car park were assaulted by the group of youths on the night, with one man suffering a broken jaw and nerve damage. Six youths have now been charged in relation to the disturbance, with more arrests expected as investigations continue.

A 35 year-old man was taken to hospital on Thursday morning after his head was stomped during a fight in the bar area of the Vic Hotel. Darwin Police took four males into custody and interviewed them over the assault.
