Three males armed with knives and with their faces covered entered a bottle shop in Leichhardt, near Ipswich, on Wednesday night and demanded cash from a female attendant. The attendant grabbed a bar from behind the counter and chased the trio out of the shop. No one was injured in the incident.

An Indian student was bashed by a group of up to 15 in a racially motivated attack on Hobart’s waterfront on Sunday morning, the Mercury reported. The 20-year-old victim said the attack was not an isolated event and that a culture of racism exists within Hobart’s clubs and pubs. “We hear racial comments most times that we go out on Friday or Saturday nights,” he said.

A 20-year-old man suffered a fractured eye socket, broken jaw and bleeding on the brain after being punched unconscious outside a Mandurah nightclub just after 1:00am on Saturday. One of his attackers turned himself in for questioning on Thursday and was subsequently charged with assault occasioning bodily harm. However, CCTV footage from the night of the incident shows at least one other person kicking the victim after he fell to the ground, the ABC reported.

Three security staff from a high-profile hotel in Sydney’s north were found guilty of inflicting assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Wednesday, The Daily Telegraph reported. The charges relate to an incident on March 3, 2007, that erupted after the victim, 19-year-old Ryan Wise, punched a patron who had assaulted his girlfriend. Wise was ejected and became involved in another incident outside. The bouncers responded by tackling Wise to the ground and forcibly restraining him, breaking his leg and causing facial lacerations in the process.

Sydney Police have arrested a third man in relation to the February 27 armed robbery of a licensed club in Regents Park that was famously foiled by members of a motorcycle club who were holding their annual general meeting at the premises. Two offenders were restrained by bikers and arrested on site, while a third escaped in a stolen car.
 
A 35-year-old man died in hospital after being assaulted outside a pub in Wallerawang, near Lithgow, on Saturday night, News Ltd reported. Police have established a strike force to investigate the incident.

Sydney Police have charged a fifth man in relation to a January 28 break and enter at a Gladesville club during which four men — one carrying a firearm — threatened employees and attempted to steal an ATM. The men stole a sum of cash and fled in a vehicle that was subsequently involved in a collision. Police arrested three of the five offenders during a foot pursuit.

Police are appealing to individuals who may have witnessed a double stabbing outside a Kings Cross nightclub at about 3:30am on Sunday. The incident occurred after two men became involved in an argument with a group of males described as being of Middle Eastern appearance inside the club. The offenders fled the scene. The victims were treated for non-life threatening stab wounds to their lower backs.

The Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad arrested 11 people for drug possessions and supply during an intelligence-driven operation that targeted a number of nightclubs in Kings Cross, Darlinghurst and Sydney’s CBD on Saturday night. The arrests included a 14-year-old who was charged with supply after police located ecstasy tablets in his possession. More operations are expected in the future.

Six people were arrested after a brawl erupted outside a Goulburn nightclub at 1:30am on Sunday, the Goulburn Post reported. The brawl had dissipated by the time a team of police arrived on the scene. However, security staff who had removed a number of persons from the premises assisted police with their enquiries.
