An attendant at a Bundamba bottle shop was elbowed in the face by one of two males who attempted to leave the store with a carton of RTDs and six bottles of bourbon they had not paid for. The attendant suffered a cut to his chin and a scratch along his neck. The offenders are described as Pacific Islander in appearance and believed to be between 16 and 19 years old.
A 32-year-old man sustained head injuries after he was assaulted in a car park in Mooloolaba at 3:30am on Monday. The victim managed to climb a flight of stairs where a pub manager noticed his injuries and contacted emergency services. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Townsville Police this week detected more than 20 people committing liquor offences and confiscated more than 30 litres of liquor in an crackdown targeting public disorder, traffic and liquor offences in the city.

Melbourne Police sprayed revellers with foam after a brawl erupted in a Federation Square nightclub on Sunday morning. A 22-year-old man attempted to hit one of the police officers present with a chair and was subsequently arrested and charged. Police are currently viewing CCTV footage in an attempt to identify a number of people involved in the incident.

Sydney Police have charged a 37-year-old man over the shooting of a female attendant at Star City on Thursday. It is alleged the man, armed with two firearms, entered the casino and shot the attendant in the stomach and pelvis for reasons unknown. He was arrested a short time later outside the casino while wearing a disguise. Police have seized a number of firearms for forensic examination. The victim was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she remains in a stable condition. The man has been refused bail and will appear at Central Local Court later today.
