The Winston at Winston Hills has picked up the coveted title of NSW Hotel of the Year, as announced at the recent AHA NSW Awards for Excellence.

Judged on all aspects of a hotel’s operations, including dining, presentation and entertainment, the Hotel of the Year award represents the venue that provides the best overall hotel experience in the state, with The Winston also receiving the Casual Dining Hotel of the Year (city) Award.

Both The Coogee Bay Hotel and The Mean Fiddler picked up two awards each — Accommodation Hotel of the Year (city) and Leisure Entertainment Hotel of the Year (city) for the Coogee Bay, and Live Entertainment Hotel of the Year, and Retail Liquor Outlet of the Year for the Mean Fiddler.

Among the other winners was Ravesi’s on Bondi, which picked up Hotel Bar of the Year, Jackson’s on George with Tourism Initiative of the Year, Terrey Hills Tavern with Hotel Redevelopment of the Year and Casual Dining Hotel of the Year (country) going to The Junction Hotel.

More than 800 guests attended the gala dinner in Sydney, including Minister for Police Tony Kelly MP, Shadow Minister for Tourism Don Page and Shadow Minister for Gaming & Racing George Souris MP.
