The distribution of Grand Marnier throughout Australia will move from Bacardi Lion to Think Spirits on 1 June 2015.

Grand Marnier will join the Think Spirits portfolio, which has a number of brands including the Kraken Black Spiced Rum, The Dalmore and Le Fee Absinthe.

Think Spirits' managing director, Patrick Borg, said that he felt Grand Marnier will be a perfect addition to the Think Spirits portfolio.

"This is a fantastic result for us and we are very happy to be distributing Grand Marnier," Borg said.

"A brand with over 180 years of history this versatile liqueur is a steadfast of many classic cocktails and will fit in seamlessly in to the Think Sprits portfolio. Think Spirits has a proven track record of building brands through planned consumer and trade marketing and we look forward to working with Grand Marnier to grow this iconic brand here in Australia."

Grand Marnier’s Asia Pacific Director, Pierre-Henry Faye, added: "We are very pleased to start working with Think Spirits. Their strong on-trade expertise, the other brands in Think Spirits portfolio for cocktails and the family ownership like Société des Produits Marnier-Lapostolle, means that we are confident we will significantly grow the brand together."

The managing director of Bacardi Lion, Denis Brown, said that he wished Grand Marnier "every success in the Think Spirits portfolio", adding that Bacardi Lion would work with Grand Marnier and Think Spirits to ensure a "smooth transition" for customers.
