Voting has closed for the Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA) and the finalists are being tallied, with tables booking up fast for the gala event next month.

Every year, all sides of the industry have their say in the coveted awards that recognise the best performing brands, products and suppliers as seen by the wholesalers and retailers within their own business.

In addition, the on-premise professionals, suppliers and sales representatives nominate the bars, retail stores, personalities and venues around the country that have outperformed their competition.

Through the support of the retail groups, suppliers, bar professionals, venues and individual retailers, the ALIA team has received an overwhelming response to the voting this year, with the finalists soon to be announced.

Winners will be presented on Wednesday, October 22, at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, with a 1980s-themed event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Liquor News, which hosts the awards, along with Australian Hotelier and bars&clubs Magazine.
