The winners of the annual Time Out Sydney Bar Awards were announced yesterday at Wentworth Park Greyhounds track.

Over 1,000 guests were in attendance – Sydney partygoers and fans of Time Out rubbed shoulders with the best in the city’s bar scene. Guests enjoyed drinks from White Rabbit Brewery, Bilpin Cider Co, Pepperjack Wines and Stoli Vodka while listening to the sounds of Rockhouse DJ. The much-anticipated annual Time Out Sydney Bar Guide 2015 was also launched at the event.

There were a total of 12 awards ups for grabs, including two new categories: Best Bar Team and Best Party Bar. A crack team of Time Out food and drink critics judged 10 of the 12 awards, ten top drinks professionals decided the Hot Talent award and the People’s Choice, as ever, was judged by Time Out readers.

“This year, we celebrate quality, irreverence and hands-in-the-air good times,” says Time Out Australia’s chief food and drink critic, Myffy Rigby. “We’re more in love with Sydney bars than ever, whether they’re served tall, short, blended or on the rocks.”
