Time Out Sydney has announced the nominees for its second annual Sydney Pub Awards.

There will be nine awards up for grabs including Pub of the Year, Publican of the Year and Best Pub Revival. Time Out's team of experts will judge eight of the awards, while the People's Choice Award will be judged by Time Out readers. Readers have until Friday 5 June to vote for their favourite from the top 10 reader-nominated pubs via the Time Out Sydney website

Time Out Sydney pubs editor, Emily Lloyd-Tait, said: "Sydney's pubs are the lifeblood of our city. They are the public spaces we treat like our own living rooms, gathering to raise a glass to life's wins, commiserate over something a bit stronger and comfort ourselves with golden schnitzels and piles of chips.

"Tribes are founded over the love of the game, the love of live music and the love of silly knowledge that might win you a meat tray. Some of Sydney's longest-serving hotels are getting work done, sprucing themselves up for a new round of craft beers. Others remain staunchly as they were, and we love them for their resistance to change. The Time Out Sydney Pub Awards are about celebrating our boozers and the good times they bring."

Last week the winners of the Time Out Melbourne Pub Awards were revealed, with The Last Jar on Elizabeth Street, being named the city's Pub of the Year.

The Sydney Award winners will be announced on Monday, 15 June at The Glenmore and tickets are available from the Time Out website.
