Andy Gilroy is TorchMedia’s new general manager – sales, replacing Cameron Baxter who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Lisa King has been promoted to NSW state sales manager.

Gilroy, who joined TorchMedia earlier this year, will focus on building the company’s relationships with media agencies and look to cement the Shopper Media category in the mainstream media mix.

He brings a depth of experience from a media career spanning 15 years across various media including TV, radio, out of home and media agency.

He previously worked at MindShare Australia, the UK’s biggest national commercial station, Viacom, Maiden Outdoor, then back in Australia at Australian Radio Network and EYE shop since 2007.

Andrew Gibson, CEO of TorchMedia, said: “Andy has established a solid network among the media buyers over his career, and his priority is to ramp up our activity with the agencies to ensure they are up to date with the latest research and developments in Shopper Media.”

Lisa King will fill Gilroy’s role as NSW State Sales Director.

King has been in the media industry for more than 20 years on both the planning and buying and sales sides, including the past five years at TorchMedia.

She has previously worked for Austereo, Pacific Publications and Conde Nast.
