Treasury Wine Estates has appointed Bob Spooner as its new president of the company’s operations in the Americas.

Mr Spooner replaces Sandra LeDrew who is leaving TWE after four years with the Company.

TWE’s chief executive Michael Clarke welcomed Spooner to his new position during Thursday’s half-year results presentation.

“Having joined TWE in January 2015, Bob has been instrumental in the optimisation of our supply chain globally,” Clarke said. “Together with his team he has delivered a stronger, more efficient and effective wine production network across our key supply regions.

“North America is a crucial growth platform for our business. Having recently acquired the Diageo wine assets and with our supply chain organisation increasingly being managed regionally, the time is right to ensure TWE has the right leader to drive its further acceleration in the Americas and deliver the next stage of profitable and sustainable growth.

“I would like to thank Sandra LeDrew for her many contributions to Treasury Wine Estates over the last four years and wish her well in her future endeavours.”
