Treasury Wine Estates has appointed Michael Goudie as its general manager of sales for Australia as part of its continued consolidation of its sales leadership structure.

Goudie, who has been with the company since November 2014, moves across from his existing role of sales director of national accounts.

A spokesperson for TWE told TheShout: "As previously announced, over the past year TWE has been focused on resetting its operations to deliver significant improvements in performance, and increase investment in the drivers of long-term growth for the business and for our customers.

"To this end, the ANZ business has been working on simplifying processes, and aligning resources to capture market growth opportunities and trends. We are committed to adapting our business to bring greater focus and help grow category value for our customers.

"As a result, some changes have been made to the Australia sales structure. The key changes involve transitioning to a specialised sales team for off-premise and on-premise accounts in key metropolitan areas to help bring decision-making closer to the customer. We have consolidated the sales leadership structure, and have appointed Michael Goudie as General Manager of Sales for Australia."

The consolidation of the sales leadership structure has also seen Darren Campbell, the director of field sales, leave the company last week.
