Sydney-based craft brewer, Two Birds, will brew its Golden Ale in Western Australia under a new partnership with Gage Roads Brewing Co.
The deal will enable Two Birds Brewing to service WA customers with fresh, locally brewed beer, according to co-founder Danielle Allen.
"Brewing in two states allows us to minimise current hurdles such as high freight costs, and lost time in empty keg collection," she said.
Two Birds brewer, Jayne Lewis, will oversee the brewing process and said she is looking forward to working with the team at Gage Roads.
"I started my brewing career in Perth and it will be great to be back brewing in WA with some well established brewers," she said.
"The brewery has gone through recent upgrades and process improvements and I’m confident we will produce great beer together."
As well as the new brewing deal, Two Birds has appointed Jock Wilberforce, of the Freo Doctor Liquor Store, as its distributor in WA.
Allen and Lewis said they still have a goal of setting up their own brewery "in due course".
