Located in McLaren Flat, less than an hour’s drive from the Adelaide CBD, Vale Brewing’s new Taphouse features 14 taps and a 200 person capacity.
The venue was originally slated to open in early 2022, but Vale Brewing’s Group Head of Marketing, Chris Illman, believes the taphouse is well worth the wait.
“It’s been a long time in the making but we are so thrilled to finally swing open the doors of the newly established Vale Taphouse,” Illman said.
“There’s no better spot to enjoy our award-winning beer than the very place it’s brewed.”
The opening of the taphouse follows on from Vale Brewing’s success at the 2022 World Beer Awards last month, as its Tropic Ale took home the coveted title of World’s Best Pale Ale.
The taphouse’s microbrewing facility is overseen by Vale’s Head Brewer, Jeff Wright. The bar is also accompanied by a ‘fully fledged’ restaurant, with the food offering devised by Executive Chef, John Rankin.
“I look forward to bringing my new recipes to life and creating a unique and memorable experience for McLaren Vale,” Rankin said.
Rankin has previously worked in award-winning venues in Singapore, the UK and Sydney, and has spent the last six years alongside Chef Sean Connolly at Sean’s Kitchen, Adelaide.
In a statement, Vale Brewing said that ‘the culinary tourism experience for visitors and locals alike has bolstered McLaren Vale’s offering with significant attraction expected, as well as an influx in employment in the region.’
The new taphouse forms part of a $10m development, and coincides with the opening of the Beresford Estate luxury accommodation.
