The Bayfield family and Bayfield Hotel Group today mourn the loss of CEO and mentor, Neville Bayfield, who passed away at home peacefully this morning after extended illness, surrounded by loving family.
Beloved husband of Pamela, devoted father of Mark and Wayne and wives Yvonne and Sharon, cherished grandfather of Jade, Peta, Kaine, Sharn, Lisa, Petra and Tess and great-grandfather of 14 beautiful children, Neville will be deeply missed by all family and friends.
As a benefactor and strong advocate for Children’s Cancer Institute Australia, Neville Bayfield raised over $1.8m for the charity. It is the family’s wishes that donations be made to the charity in lieu of flowers.
Recognised as a leader in the liquor industry for over 35 years and strong advocate for independent operators, Neville was also chairman of the board of directors of Liquor Marketing Group (LMG) Limited from 1980 to 2012.
Bayfield Hotels operates the Newport Arms Hotel, Dee Why Hotel, Belrose Hotel, Caringbah Hotel, Newport Mirage Hotel and Bayfields Liquor Superstores.
Additional information regarding memorial arrangements will be released in coming days.
I had the good fortune to meet and deal with Neville – he was old school, hard working, smart minded and above all a very generous man.
You will be missed around the Rugby fields Neville. R.I.P.
