Vanguard Luxury Brands has announced that it will be adding the Ilegal Mezcal range to its portfolio at the start of April.

Steve Myers, the creator and owner of Ilegal Mezcal, said there had been a growth in demand for the brand in Australia, and he was confident Vanguard Luxury brands could provide the national coverage required.

"We’re very excited to add this great brand to our portfolio. Mezcal is a really hot category and bartenders love this brand so it’s a perfect fit," added Vanguard director James France.

Ilegal Mezcal is made in the city of Tlacolula, in Oaxaca Mexico, by a fourth generation ‘mezcalero’ family that uses 500-year-old production methods. It is available in three expressions – Joven, Reposado and Añejo.
