Vanguard Luxury Brands continues to grow with the addition of two new brands to its range.

From yesterday (Aug 25), the company will be distributing the iconic Laird’s range of applejack and apple brandies, as well as the Hudson range of hand-made American whiskies into Australia.

“Everything we do at Vanguard is driven by our customers, and we have been receiving many requests for Laird’s applejack,” said Vanguard Luxury Brands CEO and founder James France. “The addition of… [the Hudson range] … to our portfolio is in response to our high-end customers who have been asking for top quality rye and bourbon whiskies.
"Whiskies of this calibre are in short supply, so we are very lucky to have been able to secure some for this market,” he added.

Hailing from Monmouth, New Jersey, Laird’s applejack is a 35 percent apple brandy and it takes 2.7kg of apples to make one bottle. It is column distilled, rectified and aged for 4 – 6 years.

The Hudson range consists of three super-premium whiskies – Baby Bourbon, Manhattan Rye and New York Corn Spirit, or Moonshine, as it is more colloquially known.

Despite the distillery only being founded in 2001, it has already gained a solid reputation across the United States and is highly regarded in many high-end establishments.
