Black Top Cocktail Coffee is a concentrated non-alcoholic cold-brew coffee for bars, and will be available in the Vanguard portfolio.
Black Top was created out of a demand for consistent, concentrated coffee for use in Espresso Martinis. Made using a blend of top-grade Arabica coffees, it was designed with high-volume bars in mind, taking the pain out of delivering Espresso Martinis at speed.
Consistent, concentrated and preservative free, Black Top has a 6 month ambient shelf life.
The Black Pearl in Fitzroy, Melbourne, is one of the first venues in Australia to be using Black Top Cocktail Coffee. Chris Hysted, bar manager at the Black Pearl, says that they’re “stoked and proud” to be using Black Top
“We’ve not found anything else in our search that has the same density of texture and flavour in a cold brew,” he says. “The Espresso Martini is one of our highest selling cocktails, so it’s vital for us to use the best quality liquid we can. The way this transfers to our nitro tap serve at Black Pearl means we’re pouring the best Espresso Martini in town.”
Black Top Cocktail Coffee will be available from May through Vanguard Luxury Brands in 640ml bottles, in cases of six.
The suggested Black Top Espresso Martini recipe ingredients are:
- 30ml Vodka
- 30ml Mr Black Coffee Liquor
- 30ml Black Top Cocktail Coffee
- 7.5ml Crawley’s Simple Syrup (2:1)
